Regular Meeting Minutes
April 15, 2009

A meeting of the Mountain Iron Economic Development Authority was called to order by President Tony Zupancich at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present: Bob Voss, Barb Fivecoate, Alan Stanaway, Allen Nelson and Andrea Wilson. Also present was Executive Director, Craig J. Wainio. Absent: Mary Jacobsen.

A motion was made by Alan Stanaway and supported by Bob Voss to accept the consent agenda. Motion passed by roll call vote.

Public Forum: None

Committee and Staff Reports:

Craig Wainio presented leases with Saint Louis County Land Department and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the proposed site of the wind farm. A motion was made by Barb Fivecoate and supported by Andrea Wilson to authorize the EDA to enter into the lease agreements pending attorney approval. Motion carried unanimously.

New Business:

Josh Bergstad reviewed the progress and gathered further input on the Economic Development Plan.

A motion was made by Barb Fivecoate and supported by Allen Nelson to keep all officers the same for 2009. Motion carried unanimously.

Barb Fivecoate reported on her testimony at the Capitol for the EDA’s wind project.

A motion was made by Allen Nelson and supported by Barb Fivecoate to adjourn the meeting at 6:35. Motion carried unanimously.
