Calendar Parking

70.13

(A)The calendar system of parking is adopted which means that all parking from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on even days of the month shall be allowed
only on the even side of the street or avenue and on the odd days of the month on the odd side of the street or avenue commencing November 1st and continuing until April 1st of each year. The allowed changeover period during each day shall be from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (Ord. 01-11, 2-2-11, Amd. Ord. 04-11, 12-5-11)

(B) During calendar parking any Law Enforcement officer may remove a vehicle from a street to a garage or other place of safety when the vehicle is left unattended and constitutes an obstruction to traffic or hinders snow removal or street improvement or maintenance operations. Such vehicle shall not be
released until the fees for towing and storage are paid in addition to any fine imposed for a violation of this schedule. Violation of this schedule shall result in fines to be established by Council Resolution from time to time. (Ord. 01-11, 2-2-11, Amd. Ord. 04-11, 12-5-11)



PAID ON-CALL FIREFIGHTERS
The Mountain Iron Fire Department has immediate openings for fire fighters. Applicants must be 18 years of age, possess a valid Minnesota driver’s license, be able to pass a physical and live within 10 minutes of the Fire Hall. Applications can be found at the Mountain Iron City Hall or online at www.mtniron.com and can be submitted in writing to the City of Mountain Iron, 8586 Enterprise Drive South, Mountain Iron, MN 55768 or electronically to cwainio@ci.mountain-iron.mn.us. Mountain Iron First Responders Accepting Applications
The Mountain Iron First Responders are accepting applications for emergency responders (first responder or emergency medical technician) to answer emergency medical and trauma calls within the City of Mountain Iron. The City of Mountain Iron will reimburse training costs for the accepted applicants. Applications are available at the Mountain Iron City Hall or on line at www.mtniron.com.
